Meet our passionate chef assistant who is our former student in the training year 2015 – 2016: Chanthou.
Chanthou is a 18 years old boy who comes from a farmer family. He quitted school when he finished grade 8 in 2014 because he had to involve in farming to support his family. Fortunately, he heard from his neighbor about the training programme at Le Tonle and he applied for it. Having stayed with Le Tonle for seven months, Chanthou learned important skills for both personal and professional development. Currently, Chanthou works with Le Tonle training restaurant as a chef assistant. With the monthly salary, Chanthou is able to send some back home to support his family’s expense. Chanthou is enthusiastic to learn something new to develop himself. He started learning to develop his career plan after being a few months with Le Tonle. During his day off, he often come to help making and serving drink in Le Tonle bar in order to learn the work in food and beverage service to fulfill his future dream to become a restaurant manager.
