I am Ath, 22 years old. I live in Stung Treng province with my other 3 siblings. My parents are farmers who earn very little from their paddle rice field and cassava farm. I quitted school at grade 10 in 2011 because my family had no ability to support my study.
I am very interested to study at Le Tonlé after hearing the announcement from a local radio. This project provides a fully support scholarship to every awardee and this is what I was looking for. There are a lot of differences I found after having taken a year of training with Le Tonlé. The first important things are skills acquired such as English, Computer, Cooking, Housekeeping and Hospitality. Next, I become a well-organized person and I am able to distinguish what is right and wrong. My personality is also change to be positive, I learn to live and work in team. This is really such a good education center! What I love the most about this center is it help the vulnerable young people like me to get knowledge and skill and helps us to find job afterward.
I would like to express my gratitude toward Tourism for Help and all staff members of Le Tonlé and CRTD who have been very energetic to train and guide every trainee to become better people who are ready for employment. At the end I would like to see Tonlé grows bigger and become one of professional hotel schools which can help more and more unemployed people.
