Student Profile-Navy
I am Navy, 20 years old. I come from Preah Rumkel commune which is about 70km north of the town. I have 4 siblings and I am the first born child. I left school at grade 7 in 2008 because I didn’t have ability to continue my further study.
I heard the announcement from Radio and staff of Cambodian Rural Development Team who works in my community. I am very excited to be selected to study here because this place provides me knowledge and skills which are important for life such as English, computer, cooking, tourism and hospitality. This is very good program because every trainee is fully supported. After one year studying in the center, I change my perception to be more positive. I learn to be independent, I learn to work in team and live with different people from different background and location. After graduate from the program, I want to go back to my village and work in the community’s restaurant to provide better food and beverage service to tourists.
I would like to present my profound thanks to Tourism for Help who provides me such a very good opportunity to participate in the training program. Also, I am very grateful to Tonle team for taking care everyone, providing advises and guidance to me and my friend, sharing knowledge and experience.
I am very much appreciated for the support of the donor – Tourism for Help – and all member staffs who put their strong commitment to enhance everyone’s ability.
